Manifesting God's Power

Ephesians 3:16- "That He (God) would grant you according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might (power) through His Spirit in the inner man."

Paul's prayer was that we would be stronger in power through the Holy Spirit in our life. Notice this is a work of the Holy Spirit to strengthen you and to empower you.

He, the Holy Spirit, gives you power from within and from without to live in victory. Also, you will manifest the power of God to others.

I want to give you some keys to help you get the power of God to manifest or show forth in a greater degree in your life.

There are three areas that we need power to manifest or to be evident:

                  1. The power to witness-converting power- There is a fire that comes from within your heart for  the lost. This                                                                   power comes from above when you witness and it cuts to the heart of the hearers (Acts                                                                           3:26-28- Peters sermon).

                  2. Power to bring forth the fruit of the Spirit- love, joy, peace, selt control, patience, and goodness.

                  3. The power to walk in the gifts of the Spirit. This is for the church to profit from these gifts. Power, edification,                                                              encouragement, etc.

Now lets look at three keys to increase the power in your life. If you will do just these three things, you will increase the power to be manifested in your life.

           1. Obediance. Obey God's Word.

                 (a) Be in full submission to God and be in a constant state of surrender to Him and His will. John 14:21 says, "I                                       will love Him and manifest myself to Him."

                 (b) Be constantly abiding in Him. Allow His Word to abide in you (John 15:7). When you abide in Him and He                                             abides in you, you will manifest the power of God.

This power working in you will bring you to Ephesians 3:20- He can do more than you can ask or even think, according to the power working in you.

You will start believing. Mark 9:23 says, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

Your mind will become renewed to God's Word. Matthew 19:26 says, "With men this is impossible, but with God all this are possible." Nothing is ever impossible with God; and every word of God is possible of fulfillment.

You will live in a place of victory and power. You will be bold and you will look for people to minister to. Remember this: Man's extremity is God's opportunity. Mark 16:18 says, "You will lay hands on the sick and they will recover."

                (c) Constantly realize that of ourselves we can do nothing. When there is not annointing,

there is no power. Obediance is the pathway to power. Obediance bring possession. The result of  obediance                                        brings a three-fold blessing to your life:
                            1. The abiding Holy Spirit.

                            2. Manifestation of Jesus Christ and power.

                            3. Manifestation of the Father- this leads to power in your life.

           2. Study and know the Word of God (John 16:14). The Holy Spirit takes God's Words and reveals them to us. Meditate on God's Word. Memorize God's Word. Act of God's Word. Get it down into your inner man. This works with the Holy Spirit to strenghten your inner man with power (Ephesians 3:16).

God's power will always manifest through His Word. You see, it is so very powerful (Hebrews 4:12). The Word of God works in your life when you use it.

           3. Prayer. No beliver can walk in God's manifested power unless he spends much time in prayer. God loves our communion with Him. God seeks those that would worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:23).

The type of prayer that we want to be praying in the prayer of commitment along with the prayer of fellowship. We want to consecrate and commit ourselves to God for service.

When we truly consecrate ourselves to the Father, He gives us power to carry out His plan for our lives. Jesus totally committed Himself to the Father.

To be full of the power of God, we must be full of prayer. When we pray God's Word in faith, God moves on our behalf. The Holy Spirit implants into us the desire to pray. Then He helps us pray and He prays through us (Romans 8:26-27). The Holy Spirit makes intercession through us. Prayer makes us strong in the "power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10).

Ephesians 6:18 says, "Praying always with all prayer (different kinds of prayer) and supplication in the Spirit..."

When we are obediant to God and His Word; when we surrender and are sold out to Jesus Christ; when we know God's Word and are filled with His Word and when we pray and are on fire for God, we will then manifest His mighty, glorious power in our lives.

This is when you will start doing those "greater works" spoken of in John 14:12.
