Love Never Fails

A Message From your Pastor
1 Corinthians 13:8 says, "Love never fails ... " If you want to follow a path that is guaranteed to lead you into certain victory in life, then follow the way of love--God's love. God's love is "agape" or unconditional love.
The Apostle Paul said, " ... and yet I show you a more excellent way" (1 Corinthians 12:31 ). The way of love is the best way. It is the more excellent way because God is love and love never fails. Our heavenly Father is the very essence of love.
Love is of the heart. It is a fruit of the re-created human spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Therefore, love can grow. How can a person grow and develop in God's love? In Romans 5:5 the Word says, " ... the love of God has been poured out by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." So, the love of God is already in our hearts if we are born again. But we grow in love by "confessing it" and
"acting on it."
When we become born again, the nature of God is imparted to our newly created spirit. But we still live in a fleshly body and we still have a soul. 1 John 4:7-8 says, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love."
Therefore, it is very important that we allow God's love to dominate us and that we not allow our human reasoning to control us. Walking in the flesh will always lead us into trouble.
To grow in God's love, you must make sure the spirit-man dominates your life. You must feed the spirit-man the right kind of food--spiritual manna---the Word of God. Then confess that you walk in love. Say, "I will love my brother as I love myself." Note: It is very important that you learn to love yourself and that you have a good self-image. You must see yourself as God sees you. Remember: You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!!!!!!
Act in love. Acts of love should ooze out of your spirit-man. Show mercy and compassion to others. Allow the spirit-man to so dominate that the flesh-man has no place.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy;  love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails."
